When local actors are excluded, decisions are made without the insights needed to truly empower communities. Resources are allocated without the nuance required to drive lasting impact. And the potential for transformative change is left untapped.

At ARO, we set out to do just that—not to reform a broken system from within, but to reimagine it entirely from the outside in. We believed that actions in the Global South are not peripheral; they are essential. And that when empowered, connected, and resourced, local actors could be powerful architects of systemic, scalable solutions.

So we built a platform where their voices aren’t just heard—they lead. A space where North-South and South-South collaborations flourish, where generations learn from one another, and where business and philanthropy converge not as competing forces but as co-creators of change.
